Our story began at the Thomas College Winter Carnival in 2018—I (Lauren) was volunteering at a booth when Devon stopped by and ended up chatting with me for the rest of the night. We saw each other around campus after that and, with a little help from mutual friends, a shared love of baseball and softball, and the ongoing rivalry between my New York Yankees and his Boston Red Sox, friendship slowly turned into something more. In January 2019 we went on our first official date—far from picture-perfect (I backed into a sanding truck in a parking lot and cried to my mom), but it didn’t scare him off. Years—and moves to three different states—later, Devon proposed on the beach in August with a Ring Pop, just like he always promised. We can’t wait to celebrate the culmination of years of laughter, hard work, tears, and love with all of you on September 19, 2026 in Hampton, New Hampshire.
